The School Council

Children in Need - Hollywood Stars Day - December 2016

Our Role

The members of the School Council at Clyst Heath have been elected to represent each class. They are the voice of the children and work alongside members of staff to make the school a more exciting and enjoyable place to be.

Each class has the opportunity to select two members, usually a girl and a boy, to represent them at the council meetings.

Got an idea? Something you want to change?  A new way of doing things?

Make YOUR voice heard!

Speak to your School Council Representatives!

The Spring Term has been a very busy time for School Council. We organised a vsisit from The Lord Mayor of Exeter in aid of The Devon Freewheelers Bloodbikes and raised £295.63!

We co-ordinated the first Clyst Heath Creative Writing Competition and judged over a hundred amazing entries! Every entrant won a certificate and ther were also class prizes. The overall prize went to Anna in Year 6 for her dark and atmospheric story...

We are also supporting Comic Relief in March with a 'Wear it Red' Day. Busy times!

Your school council has been hard at work coming up with  a range of new ideas!

  • A charity event this year for Devon Freewheelers (Blood bikes) Coming Spring 2017
  • House Sports Tournaments for Tag Rugby, Hockey, Football, Netball and Athletics
  • House Song Competition
  • The Big Walk – whole school walking events throughout the year
